The Center for Multimedia and Information Technologies (CMIT) comprises the following three sections, as well as a CMIT Laboratory that carries out group research leveraging their unique characteristics.
Overview of Sections
- Computer-Aided Education Research Section (CAERS) ---We study and develop multimedia-based education and research systems. One example is a distance education system utilizing information-communication technologies.
- Media Information Processing Research Section (MIPRS) --- We study multimedia teaching materials and digitization of academic information. For example, we study how to create, maintain, store, and disseminate academic contents.
- Network Communications Research Section (NCRS) --- We study improving and optimizing information infrastructure, mainly focused on network, for university and local areas. We also cover topics related to network- and information -securities.
- CMIT Laboratory Grouped Research Section (CMIT Labo. GRS) ---This section is an organized section by grouping the above described three research sections, CAERS, MIPRS, and NCRS. We are studying the Basic IT courses, computer environments, network environment, instructional design, and electronic educational materials.
