The following message is displayed when your Mathematica license has expired.

In that case, register your license again on the Mathematica web site (https://register.wolfram.com/) to obtain a new password. You can renew your license with the new password and continue to use Mathematica.

The renewal procedure is almost same as the original procedure of registering Mathematica license except that you enter your license number on the web site screen.
